The 2nd annual Health Professions Education Day, which took place on June 1, featured educators from across the health science professions on all three campuses – Ann Arbor, Dearborn and Flint- who shared educational innovations and best practices during a poster session, followed by a keynote address from Dr. Jean Nagelkerk, Vice Provost for Health at Grand Valley State University, and a student response panel.

Over 200 faculty, staff, students and alumni participated in the event. There were over 65 poster presentations focused on interprofessional education (IPE) experiences underway at Michigan, as well as a wide range of educational topics including the following themes: learner autonomy, entrustment, and feedback, novel IPE pedagogies, peer to peer teaching and learning activities, learner wellness and resilience, patient centered care, and pipeline programs to bring learners into the health professions.

This event replaced the former Medical Education Day.
