UMHS team members recently earned EMMY awards from the Michigan Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.

The first award was earned by the team that put together a package highlighting the story of a little boy from Uganda who came to UMHS to have life-altering surgery to remove a grapefruit-sized tumor draped around his neck. The winners were Joe Hallisy, Jennifer Yanchula and Beata Mostafavi.

In the public service announcement category, UMHS tied with itself! Joe Hallisy, Jennifer Yanchula and former colleague Dan Newman won for a PSA about skin cancer. And the PSA “Light” earned EMMYs for Joe Hallisy, Jennifer Yanchula, Rebecca Priest and Caleb Moss.

Congratulations to our team members who brought home these incredible honors!
