29th Annual Cardiology Update Coming in August
The U-M 29th Annual Cardiology Update course will take place August 19-21 at the Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island.
The conference will be of particular interest to physicians providing adult primary care, cardiologists and other health care professionals, including nurse practitioners and physician assistants, who work with cardiology patients. At the conclusion of this course, participants will be able to implement state-of-the-art lipid treatment options, pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic therapy approaches to atrial fibrillation, an increased knowledge of the new pericardial disease guidelines and a safe exercise program for the cardiac patient. Participants will also gain knowledge of current approaches to evaluating dyspnea, the latest strategies for managing carotid disease, identification of resistant hypertension and treatment guidelines, and an understanding of the valve-sparing aortic root replacement procedure.
This course has been approved for AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™, AOA Category 2A Credits, and AAFP Prescribed Credits.
