New Acute Service Now Available to Taubman Providers

May 24, 2016  //  FOUND IN: News,

The Taubman Center Ambulatory Diagnostic and Treatment Unit (ADTU) is now open for patient care.  The ADTU is a 4 bed outpatient unit located on the first floor of Taubman adjacent to the infusion and transplant clinics.

The clinic is established to treat acute conditions or acute flare ups of chronic conditions requiring an extended period of time for appropriate diagnosis and treatment, reduce ED admissions, and enhance patient convenience.  Patients referred to the unit must have an established and active relationship with a Taubman Center physician and a defined problem that is able to be diagnosed and treated within 2 – 6 hours.

The clinic is led by Advanced Practice Providers (APP), along with RNs, that will have access to priority Radiology and Lab testing for appropriate diagnosis and treatment.  The APPs will use written clinical protocols to guide the plan of care.

The ADTU is open 8:00am – 6:00pm Monday – Friday.  To contact the clinic please call 734 998 1516.
