It’s growing season for the Medical Campus Garden!

A beautiful selection of herbs and vegetables have found a new home at the Medical Campus Garden. The garden, created and managed by UM medical students, joins the UM School of Public Health and the UM Sustainable Food Systems Initiative in the promotion of health through sustainable eating habits.

Our mission is to foster conversations within the UMHS community about the impact of fresh produce and sustainable food systems on both individual and environmental health. We hope to promote a culture within the clinical setting that stimulates curiosity surrounding produce and its origins and that prioritizes the availability of fresh produce to everyone. This year's bounty includes tomatoes, peppers, leeks, cauliflower, kale, swiss chard, and herbs galore!

The garden is located on the east side of the Medical Sciences Building I, across from the CVC. Come check us out and watch for a summer lunch lecture series this August, exact dates TBD!
