This workshop is designed to assist clinicians in giving patient-friendly, learner-focused and efficient feedback to residents and students in a clinic or hospital setting.
Facilitated by Kenneth Pituch, MD, Professor of Pediatrics and Communicable Diseases. Following this workshop you should be able to:
- Outline the 4 basic steps of Brief Structured Observation (BSO).
- Describe the importance of BSO and how it can assist in learners’ interactions with patients.
- Practice BSO skills.
