Help improve our clinical learning environment

April 28, 2016  //  FOUND IN: Strategy & Leadership,

This past year, President Schlissel launched an institution-wide effort to create an inclusive and supportive environment on campus.

At UMHS, everyone entrusted with educating future health practitioners has a responsibility to also create an inclusive, respectful, and highly functional clinical learning environment for our learners.

To meet this goal, it is important to establish a common understanding of this shared task. This will continue at the Health System’s first Grand Rounds on Improving the Learning Environment.

At noon on May 5 in Dow Auditorium, all who work with students and other learners in the UMHS clinical environment are invited to join in a one-hour session that is also part of Orientation for third-year medical students, as they begin their clinical rotations.

This will be an important conversation for our community. Lunch will be provided.
