Clinical alarm systems at our hospitals and health centers help alert staff of potential patient problems. If these alarms are not properly managed and recognized, important events can be missed.
Help prepare for the upcoming Joint Commission Survey and make sure you know to respond to and manager alarms.
UMHHC Alarm Management policy #62-11-015 identifies priority clinical alarms. Review this policy to better understand which alarms are the most important.
