Experts discuss advancements in congenital heart care at Mott joint conference

More than 100 health care professionals who care for children with complex congenital heart disease addressed treatment and research topics at the weekend’s Joint Conference on Advances in Pediatric Cardiovascular Disease Management hosted by U-M’s C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital Congenital Heart Center.

Participants learned about innovative ideas and best practices related to caring for children with congenital heart disease. Speakers gave in-depth presentations on such topics as the arterial switch operation, a historical perspective on congenital heart disease, lymphatic abnormalities in patients with congenital heart disease, and public reporting

The Joint Conference was co-sponsored by The Children’s Hospital at Montefiore and the Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles, and rotates between the three institutions each year.
