The U-M Department of Pathology will host “Find Your Element: Traveling the Winding Road to Leadership in Health Care” on Saturday, Aug. 29 from 7:45 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. at the Arthur Miller Theatre on 1226 Murfin Ave. in Ann Arbor.
All UMHS faculty and staff, as well as healthcare employees from other institutions, are invited and encouraged to attend this collaborative and interactive workshop.
Come ready to share and listen to stories, advice and ideas that can enhance your success. Attendees are encouraged to actively participate and you’ll leave inspired, armed with fresh ideas about how you might frame your own leadership story.
Sir Ken Robinson, Ph.D., New York Times bestselling author of “The Element: How Finding Your Passion Changes Everything,” will kick off the workshop by highlighting the unexpected turns that characterize the road to success. He will be joined by a diverse group of physicians and executives whose professional paths led them to positions of leadership in academic and community practice, and in national organizations. Each will tell their story in a 20-minute “TED-like” presentation followed by a panel discussion.
