A League of their own: Medical School honors 19 faculty for excellent care
The University of Michigan Medical School (UMMS) on April 6 honored 19 faculty for their commitment to outstanding patient care by inducting them into The League of Clinical Excellence.
The Medical School established The League of Clinical Excellence in 2012 to honor faculty who have distinguished themselves in providing the finest care to the tens of thousands of patients and their families who come to the U-M annually seeking hope and healing.
Fourteen of the 19 inductees were joined by Lisa Mann, widow of the late Steven E. Gradwohl, M.D., in receiving a glass Block M during a dinner at the A. Alfred Taubman Biomedical Science Research Building. They comprise the second class of League of Clinical Excellence inductees, joining 31 who formed the inaugural group in 2012.
