Dr. David Williams elected president of American Pain Society

David Williams, Ph.D., professor of Anesthesiology, professor of Internal Medicine, professor of Psychiatry and professor of Psychology, has been elected as the next president of the American Pain Society. Dr. Williams is one of the lead faculty of the Department of Anesthesiology’s Chronic Pain and Fatigue Research Center.

Dr. William’s will first serve as president-elect of the American Pain Society for one year and then move into the position of president for two years.

The American Pain Society is a multidisciplinary community that brings together a diverse group of scientists, clinicians and other professionals to increase the knowledge of pain and transform public policy and clinical practice to reduce pain-related suffering.
